Warring States 2.0? 戰國2.0?

Perhaps we are entering a period "Warring States 2.0" in China? the breaking down of China into small independent States.
This is what all these flags on display at Hong Kong (HK) protests may be about.
The experience of Hong Kong and other "autonomous regions" is that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) does not allow autonomous people to have their full rights. Therefore, there are calls from people within the territory of the Peoples Republic of China (PRC) for "independence."
This is directly related to the total failure of China to meet it's UN obligations to human rights including ICCPR right to "self-determination."
Taiwanese seeing the destruction of HK's rule of law and civil liberties, including democracy and human rights, are not about to roll over and accept being absorbed by an undemocratic China!
Taiwan is easily the most democratically developed Chinese community. Taiwan has substantial support, including military, from USA.
The biggest problem facing China is that the ordinary Chinese citizen has a very bad relationship with their Government. It's not the citizens' fault, it is the fault of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
For example, at the end of WWII to gain popular support to defeat the Kuomingtang (KMT) CCP Chairman Mao Zedong promised peasants land reform so that their rights to land ownership would finally be protected. There has never been the land reform he promised! With roughly 80% of China's population working in agriculture failure to enact land reform is a significant ongoing issue.
Between 1900 and 1999 under Communism an estimated 145 million humans died. Chairman Mao was culpable in the Great Leap Forward and the Great Chinese Famine where an estimated 77 million Chinese people lost their lives.
China, despite all of its drum beating, has poor governance, economic, political, social, environmental and other performances especially when consideration is given to the entire country and population. In 2019 in terms of GDP/ capita China ranks worldwide a low 79th.
Since the end of World War II the CCP has been able, to a large extent, to maintain "control" over it's citizens, including minorities groups, only by fear and violence. Propaganda leads to putting further distance between citizens and the CCP.
CCP's "business model" is based on violence and corruption. CCP is unsustainable.
