Palestinian Hisham Abu Hawash to be released by Israel after 141-day hunger strike

Palestine's Hisham Abu Hawash has ended a hunger strike that lasted nearly five months after Israel agreed to his release. During 141-days he took only water, salt and sugar.

The fact that Hisham is still alive is a testament to himself and humanity of the significance and importance of non-violent civil resistance.

Collectively humanity has yet to fully grasp the reality that the will of the people is far stronger than anything physical, such as an army.

"Non-violence is the greatest force at the disposal of mankind. It is mightier than the mightiest weapon of destruction devised by the ingenuity of man" : Mahatma Gandhi

Following the 2019 paradigm shift instead of fighting ourselves and each other, we urgently need dialog and cooperation to heal our communities. Arms are for jabs not war!

The situation in Hong Kong (HK) is very similar to Palestine because both are occupied by a foreign power who abuses the human rights of the people (please read our blogs below).

HK peoples respect and best wishes to Hisham and the people of Palestine in their struggle against Israel for their UN human rights.

Please read our blogs:

The peoples of Palestine and HK have NOT been given their promised full UN human rights

2 October is the UN International Day of Non Violence
