CCP, Carrie Lam and HK government's pandemicide
Updated: Mar 5
WTPOHK accuses the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Hong Kong (HK) Chief Executive Carrie Lam (CLam) and the HK government of committing 'pandemicide' against the people of HK. By articulating and remembering these events they form an important part of our HK living memory!
CCP's China and HK government are under UN W.H.O. international treaty 'International Health Regulations' (2005) (IHR) and are obliged to perform accordingly; including sharing of all data, assisting in investigations, etc. with W.H.O. whilst also protecting human rights and data privacy. The UN supreme human right is the 'right to life' - therefore saving human life is put before saving the economy: except if you are in China or Hong Kong!
Since the outbreak of this novel coronavirus CCP has repeatedly breached the IHR treaty, including in the recent independent investigation of the source of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Based on HK's experience of SARS 2002-2003, which tragically killed 299 HK people, the HK government applied nothing of what it learned to reduce the likelihood of another novel coronavirus outbreak in HK. Almost nothing has been done since 2003 by HK government to improve the 'built' environment, the health and living conditions of HK's most vulnerable communities. Meanwhile HK people learnt from SARS to wear face masks, wash hands, social distancing, etc. and this is how HK people without government support have saved HK so far!
Issues that give support to the accusation of 'pandemicide' includes:
COVID-19 pandemic in Hong Kong: First confirmed COVID-19 case in HK was 23 January 2020 during small HK protests. Why, with Lunar New Year holidays and traditional mass travelling of HK people to China did CLam wait until New Years day 25 January 2020 to announce activation of Emergency Response Level in relation to novel coronavirus infection? SCMP reported on 13 March 2020 that China’s first confirmed Covid-19 case has been traced back to 17 November 2020 and by 1 January 2020 the number of confirmed cases was 381. HK government on 31 December 2019 issued a CHP Press Release 'CHP closely monitors cluster of pneumonia cases on Mainland' and obviously knew something was serious about the situation in Wuhan, China. In a 17 January 2020 Medical paper UK's Imperial College estimated by 12 January 2020 there were an estimated 1,723 cases of 2019-nCov (later renamed COVID-19) in Wuhan City. 13 January 2020 a three person expert team from HK visited Wuhan for 2 days: the official CCP narrative was 41 cases and no human-human transmission which W.H.O. reported worldwide on 14 January 2020 (i.e. CCP lied to HK team, WHO and the world!).
Why did Carrie Lam continue her legal battle in the High Court over HK protesters use of face masks when they were at the time the most effective NPI's (Non-Pharmecitical Initiatives) available against COVID-19? Why did Carrie Lam initially refuse to wear a face mask in public to support public health when most HK people were wearing face masks? By end of July 2020 HK law required face masks to be worn indoors and outdoors or face a fine of HK$5,000 - a case of too little too late by the HK government!
Why did HK government not make any effort at all to secure commercial suppliers of face masks for HK people while HK government employees were provided free masks made by HK prisoners? Elderly, the most vulnerable, and impoverished communities were unable to find or afford face masks.
By 4 February 2020 American Airlines cancelled flights from HK to USA. HK airport was late to close all flights to stop the international spread of this novel coronavirus; some suggest that HK airport was deliberately kept open to allow CCP members and their families to transit and fly overseas.
1 February 2020 healthcare workers union announced it would go on strike on 3 February 2020 unless HK's border with China was fully closed: CLam did not like this action and has since waged a personal war against healthcare workers who are now resigning or relocating, hollowing out hospital staff during a global pandemic! A complete lockdown of HK's border with China has never happened despite an overwhelming majority of 80% of HK people demanding the border with China be closed : Beijing or other major cities in China can lockdown themselves down but HK can not, why? Instead, still today there is a continious gradual 'leak' of infections from China which publicly is in denial that it has a COVID-19 problem as well as being the source and spreader!
Similar to what has been happening in many authoritarian countries, CCP and Carrie Lam's HK government under the disguise of their response to global pandemic COVID-19 implemented draconian actions designed to remove HK peoples human rights and democracy. CCP's illegal 1 July 2020 national security law has been recognized by the UK government as the third breach of the Joint Declaration. 6 September 2020 Legislative Council (LegCo) elections were postponed by an illegal CCP NPC ruling, when by then COVID-19 new infections were already down to mostly single digits! CCP has gone on to further purge LegCo of any and all pro-democratic oversight and voices by NPC banning four lawmakers elected by HK people. CCP and HK government have begun to hollow out the District Councils, the only universal and equal suffrage elections in HK, by demanding oath taking of District Councillors who won in a landslide election with majority in 17 of 18 districts in 24 November 2019 District Council elections.
Xi’s global health code proposal will make CCP the world’s Big Brother! HK's COVID-19 global pandemic response has become an international exercise in depriving people of their democratic and human rights by survelliance and data privacy violations. HK government's 'LeaveHomeSafe' app is CCP's step toward's HK-wide illegal digital survelliance reaching worldwide!
HK's recent 'ambush' lockdowns of districts and some buildings is unscientific, abusive and often discriminatory : i.e. poor neighbourhoods are targeted where the HK government has done nothing since SARS 2002-2003 to improve conditions of novel coronavirus transmission via sewage, etc. Why does Singapore have a working vaccination program since early January 2021 and HK does not? With an effective Pfizer vaccination program HK transmissions would be significantly reduced: instead of optics for CCP of ambush lockdowns HK should have Pfizer jabs in HK people!
HK's current vaccination program is political, not scientific and focused on promoting China made Sinovac vaccine! Of course for HK's government's pro-China vaccination program to begin Sinovac had to be the company to deliver their vaccines first! Carrie Lam was the first person in HK to be vaccinated using Sinovac: despite the fact that she is too old to be vaccinated with Sinovac under China's regulations! Prosperity and stability depends upon HK people's consent to vaccination during COVID-19.
[UPDATE]: RTHK 28 February 2021 'Man, 72, taken ill as 7,000 get Covid jabs.' Question we have is why has a 72 year old HK man with hypertension receiving Sinovac vaccine? According to mainland China regulator this vaccine has only been used on patients between the ages of 18-59: also we not that hypertension is one of the health exceptions that can not use Sinovac vaccine. We note that this week private doctors will start vaccinating HK people using Sinovac. Illegitimate LegCo approved a HK$1billion indemnity fund for patients health issues related to COVID-19 vaccination program: why are HK public funds being used to support Sinovac's Phase III trial?
[UPDATE]: RTHK 3 March 2021 'Man dies two days after Covid-19 vaccination' a 63 year old man with multiple comobidities dies the SAME DAY after receiving SinoVac vaccine!
Recent real world data published in the respected UK medical journal 'The Lancet' (see Dr John Campbell's video below) of a sample group of nearly 30,000 healthcare workers in UK shows for Pfizer vaccine a reduction in transmission of both symtomatic and asymptomatic: single dose 72%; after 21 days 2nd dose rising to 86% after 7 days. An international standard vaccination is how USA, UK, Israel and other countries are significantly reducing transmission. The primary focus of HK's vaccination program must be to vaccinate people! In communist HK CCP and CLam has instead chosen to politicize its vaccination waiting for China made Sinovac vaccine: Singapore has been vaccinating its citizens with Pfizer vaccines since early January 2021.
This is premeditated 'pandemicide' of HK people by CCP, CLam and HK government.
Dr John Campbell.
WTPOHK recommends an international independent Commission of Inquiry (COI) into the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Hong Kong (HK) Chief Executive Carrie Lam and the HK government's pandemicide against HK people.
Achieving any sense of closure to COVID-19, especially in light of HK's tragic 2002-2003 SARS experience, will require holding CCP and Carrie Lam accountable for their failures.
WTPOHK recommends the world needs an independent inquiry into W.H.O. and CCP's actions on novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and the disease it causes COVID-19.
Ex-US President Donald Trump's pandemicide
Pulitzer prize winner journalist Laurie Garrett has recently come out and accused ex-US President Donald Trump's of committing 'pandemicide' in his negligence of failing to say or do anything to reduce the COVID-19 pandemic in America.
Laurie Garrett discusses her allegations of ex-US President Trump's COVID-19 'pandemicide'.
Hong Kong economy in 2020 suffered its biggest annual contraction on record shrinking 6.1 per cent as coronavirus hammers tourism, local spending: not much hope for growth in 2021! Hong Kong COVID-19 stats: 10,849 total cases, 197 deaths.
The direct comparison between COVID-19 stats and economy is clear: The lower the COVID-19 numbers the better the economy in 2021 and beyond!
